Join us as a Youth Engagement and Wellbeing Practitioner and be part of something bigger.
What you’ll do
Are you passionate about empowering young people to thrive? In this dynamic role, you will support the design, development and delivery of therapeutic, peer, educational, recreation & culturally safe programs that make a real difference in the lives of disadvantage children and young people aged 8 – 25.
As part of the AnglicareSA Participation & Wellbeing team, you will also be involved in training and supporting Mentors and staff, while championing youth advocacy, trauma informed care, and cultural connection. This is a part-time position working two days per week.
You’ll be trusted to make a valuable impact by:
● Co-designing and delivering programs that support emotional, social, educational and cultural development of young people.
● Building mentor capacity and leading trauma informed approaches to support mentees.
● Supporting young people to overcome barriers and achieve their goals in education, employment and wellbeing.
● Collaborating with agencies and communities to deliver engaging, inclusive and empowering services and events.
What you’ll bring
To thrive in this role, you will have:
● Experience in Youth Work, Community Development, Program Facilitation or a related field.
● Proven ability to engage and support children and young people with complex needs and diverse backgrounds.
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and lead with empathy.
We would also love you to have:
● Experience in designing and coordinating youth focused programs.
