Working collaboratively across borders and disciplines, you’ll join a leading team working on interesting and complex projects. We are experts in our field, and we are passionate about mining.
What you’ll do:
Joining our passionate and lively Adelaide office, you’ll bring your tailings expertise to the forefront; guiding the design and risk management of tailings storage facilities from early study phases through to detailed design, implementation, and closure. You’ll work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment that values smart engineering and long-term thinking.
- Lead and review technical work on tailings storage facilities, mine waste dumps, and water management systems
- Drive the development of fit-for-purpose solutions tailored to each mining context
- Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers across the team
- Provide strategic input on tailings planning, risk assessments, and closure strategies
- Providing recommendations in area of tailings and mine waste management to clients
- Maintaining effective client relationships and generate consulting business
About you:
We’re looking for a skilled engineer with a strong foundation in tailings or geotechnical engineering, combined with a passion for working on complex projects that make a difference. Ideally, you have:
- A degree in civil, geotechnical, or mining engineering (or similar)
- 8+ years’ experience in the design and management of tailings or mine waste infrastructure
- Strong technical writing, reporting, and project coordination skills
- Background working for mid-large size consultancies, engineering service providers and/or mining operators
- Proven ability to engage with clients, build trust, and deliver quality outcomes
- Chartered status (CPEng or equivalent) or working toward accreditation
