About You and the Role

We’re looking for highly driven and experienced Control Systems Engineers with a strong background in the mining sector to join our rapidly growing mining-based Project Engineering team.

This is an exciting new team to IoTics and standout early-adopters will be given the opportunity to step up into more senior roles as this team grows.

In this role, you’ll be working on a wide range of cutting-edge control system engineering projects based out of our modern culture-centric Adelaide office. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality solutions while collaborating closely with our Projects team.

Core responsibilities:

  • Control system programming and commissioning of systems from conception to completion;

  • R&D on the latest innovative technologies and systems (IIoT, digitalisation, AI, cyber / networking etc..);

  • Support with project preparation works including review of scopes & Engineering design documentation;

  • Providing technical support to your team;

  • Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and on schedule;

  • Support with ensuring current technical standards, reference materials, software programs and tools are adopted;

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Strong experience working on projects within the mining sector is highly desired;

  • A Qualification in Engineering & experience in control systems design, programming and commissioning;

  • Solid organisational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task effectively;

  • Outstanding attention to detail;

  • Extremely stringent with respecting safety, and a safety-first ethos;

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills;

  • Ability to work autonomously and use good initiative;

  • Solutions orientated, with strong planning and analytical skills;

  • Possess a strong self-motivated and 'can-do' attitude;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

  • Good understanding of relevant industry codes, standards, specifications, regulations and procedures;

  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office & cloud-based workflow and communication platforms;

Your Technical Skills:

  • Control system programming across at least two major vendors (EG: Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider etc..);

  • Experience with programming Citect SCADA;

  • Good knowledge of IT and OT networking fundamentals;

  • FAT and SAT experience;

  • Strong experience with mining-standard project engineering processes & documentation;
