Job Type: Temporary position | Full time position

Initial 12-month (ASAP start) Rate: $610/day or $81.41/hr (SAW7 - $127k annual equivalent) We're seeking a Systems Engineer to lead key projects that introduce innovative concepts, improve processes, and establish best practices in infrastructure engineering.

This is not an IT or network engineering role . We're looking for someone with a strong background in system requirements, system architecture, and requirement analysis - preferably from industries such as Defence, Rail, or Utilities . In this role, you will:

Apply structured systems engineering to improve project design, integration, and lifecycle management. Drive continuous improvement and process optimisation across SA Water assets. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders to define requirements and system architecture.

Ensure safety and sustainability principles are integrated into engineering practices. You'll bring: A degree in Systems Engineering or a related field.

Experience applying systems engineering to complex infrastructure or utility projects. Strong skills in requirements management, system integration, and data-driven analysis. Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

(Desirable) Familiarity with MBSE tools and/or project management certification. Must have a National Police Check issued within 6 months, a traffic check, and qualification check.
