The Company
Manufacturing commercial windows and doors for iconic projects across SA, this brand is synonymous for excellence at all levels. Due to growth and expansion, the company has developed a new position for a Production Manager to join the team. You could be FIRST in the business as they experience new milestones ahead.
Your Role
Reporting to the Project Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the manufacturing plant. You'll lead a production team and drive continuous improvement, maintain safety and compliance standards, and support strategic and financial goals through effective leadership, planning, and execution. Your hands-on leadership will ensure efficiency in workflow and support the achievement of key targets. Duties include;
- Lead and manage all aspects of the window manufacturing operations and production teams
- Monitor and maintain product quality across all stages of production
- Oversee scheduling and workflow to ensure project deadlines and delivery commitments are consistently met
- Manage procurement and inventory to support efficient production while maintaining cost controls
- Analyse, develop, and refine production processes, systems, and reporting tools
- Work closely with senior management to meet and exceed monthly budgets and operational performance targets
- Promote and maintain compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) policies and foster a strong safety culture
- Drive operational improvements and lead problem-solving initiatives to resolve issues impacting performance or quality
- Support employee development, team morale, and workforce engagement through effective leadership and communication
The position is on-site and on-field, Monday to Friday and ideal hours are early morning starts and early finishes. Perfect if you want to pick up the kids from school. Remuneration is aligned with industry knowledge and experience circa $120-130K + Super + Vehicle Allowance/ Car.
About You
- Experience in Aluminium Windows & Doors is ideal
- Experienced in leading a Production Team in a Glass Manufacturing Environment is ideal
- Experience in Supply Chain and Logistics is highly regarded
- Ability to drive team to hit targets
- Demonstrated ability to manage resources and timelines
- High level of organisation and people skills
- Focused and driven forward thinker
