About the opportunity:
Be responsible for
delivering meaningful outcomes for community. Working within a
highly successful team delivering projects across the
States’s energy and mining portfolios, the Project
Manager will lead and coordinate complex, multi-agency
projects and programs aligned with State Government economic
priorities and departmental objectives.
In addition to this core focus, you’ll:
- Manage all aspects of project delivery, including budgets, schedules, risk, and change control, in line with DEM’s Project Management Framework.
- Develop and implement quality assurance, risk management, and continuous improvement processes to support efficient and effective project execution.
- Support informed government decision-making through confidential assessments, industry research, high-quality reporting, and effective engagement with key stakeholders and approval authorities.
- Prepare high-quality, well-reasoned written materials, including briefings, Cabinet submissions, and speech notes, providing clear, timely, and strategic advice to the Executive Director, Chief Executive, and Minister.

Qualifications:
Desirable: A tertiary
qualification in Project Management and/or Public Policy is highly
desirable.
Remuneration:
ASO7 salary range $108,109 -
$116,864 per annum + superannuation
Full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week
Special Conditions:
- This is a contract/term vacancy for up to 12 months.
- The role will involve travel (primarily intra-state).
- Out of hours work may be required.
