Nunkuwarrin Yunti is a not-for-profit, community controlled and Registered Training Organisation providing health and community services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across South Australia.

The journey of Nunkuwarrin Yunti started over 50 years ago, when the late Gladys Elphick MBE and a group of women founded the Council of Aboriginal Women of SA, one of the first Aboriginal organisations in South Australia.

Nunkuwarrin Yunti means 'Working Together – Doing Right Together’​ and we are focussed on working with the community and staff for the benefit of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Throughout the website the term Aboriginal is used in this context to include people who identify as Aboriginal, people who identify as Torres Strait Islander Peoples and people who identify as both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander. It is also used interchangeably with the term Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander.
